Gilligans Port Barton is a simple beachfront holiday home with a relaxed beach house feel, situated in a pristine beachfront location on 2 acres of grounds, with 185 meters of semi-private beach and very few neighbors. The view from Gilligans is outstanding. You’ll gaze out at the water and the amazing scenery for hours, and at night the stars will light up the sky. You’ll sleep at night with the sound of the gentle waves lapping on the beautiful white sandy beach. There are few places in the world like Gilligans where you can vacation with your family or loved ones in such a paradise for so little.
This fully secure and remote guest house allows you to be yourself in the comfort and privacy of your own island home. Forget crowded hotels and noisy resorts. Relax and experience enchantment all around you. Step outside to the beach where the sand caresses your toes and the water is always warm. The gentle waves beckon. The palms whisper, ‘kick off your sandals and unwind’ The gentle breeze blows softly across your face. Time loses all meaning. The waves sparkle in the sun. Extra beds are available for larger groups or families. However, this is still a 3-bedroom home designed for 2 to 10 persons.
We are reluctant to accept large groups for Gilligans as we need an extra staff member to assist our caretaker, and our boat is only licensed by the coastguard for 10 passengers. Bigger boats are available for island hopping trips.
How to get there?
Puerto Princesa airport is a one hour and 10 minute domestic flight from Manila Airport. Cebu Pacific, Air Asia and Philippine Airlines service PPC.
Late bookings can be expensive, so please book in advance.
From PPC airport we can organize a private 12 seater van to take you up the scenic coast to Port Barton, (around Php 6K). In additional trips to Port Barton will cost around Php 300 per person each way. Commuter vans are available between Port Barton and the airport for around Php 500 per person.
If you organize your own transport, Van or 4x4 is highly recommended or If you wish, We can organize your transportation.
Try to book morning or early afternoon flights to Palawan where possible to avoid a night-time boat trip to Gilligans.
CoastGuard may not allow night-time boat trips.
The van trip usually takes 2.5 hours from Puerto to Port Barton. Try to book afternoon flights going back to Manila to avoid leaving Gilligans very early.
Many guests choose to take the side trip to visit the Subterranean Underground River on the way to or from Port Barton, time permitting.
San Vicente Airport is open now, but waiting for airlines to service Palawan.
